Lillian Streaker
Artist Statement
My body of work represents my recent trip to India where I worked at an orphanage. Using a variety of brushes and canvases I use acrylic and oil paints to create my personal depiction of India’s vibrant scenery through my eyes. I decided to push the boundaries of the pieces to represent the growth and inspiration I encountered. The multi colored, bold, fun shapes, light and vibrancy are supposed to depict my feelings about how India impacted me. I experienced happiness, love, and knowledge in a way indescribable, so I figured painting it was the best way to show it.
