Artist Statement
“Clothes Minded” is a book series that focuses on examining multiple topics regarding the fashion industry. As a person I use fashion as a means of self-expression to further identify the hidden qualities of my character to others around me. Fashion is one of the biggest industries around the world. It has the power to uplift and provide confidence for people but on the other hand, the production can also destroy our climate and exploit workers. This book series is an examination of this beautiful but also chaotic industry. Through the use of digital collage-making, my goals are to represent both sides through the mixture of various vector shapes, textures, and images. These collages are purely abstract and are meant to be thought provoking pieces that have different meanings to each individual viewer. The ultimate goal of this series is to bring more awareness to these topics and promote conversation within the fashion space.
